Almost looked like they might be coming have a shufti at the swift nest boxes* we had put up under the soffit last year but sadly they didn't hang around for long, despite me quickly turning on the Swift Conservation Society's swift calls.</p> <p>On a happier note, the luxury hedgehog home that I deployed behind the summerhouse a few days ago is being made use of already. Certainly in the area I was in, people on foot would scoot across in the gaps between riders.
