Near Cameron Toll, the junction where Mayfield Rd and Liberton Gardens meet, there are new traffic lights with avanced green for bikes. About 2 seconds headstart. I suggested this to a councillor a couple months back.

Has anyone had the chance to try it out? I'm curious about how well it works, especially on the hill start. And in general how well it works at other junctions.
