Hello all!
Tomorrow we're going to be at the end of the PfS route (at Murrayfield) from about 10ish, helping out with the PoP stall. If anyone wants to pop by and say hello (or even volunteer for an hour or so on the stall), let us know!

My phone number is 0777nine527004 - although we won't be there all day, so maybe just visit PoP at the event. The busiest times will be between 12-3, so that's when we'll probably need extra helpers!

Thanks all :D

from Lionfish and Minimoth (sort of on behalf of PoP).

As suggested on http://citycyclingedinburgh.info/bbpress/topic.php?id=6334

These wards are roughly Slateford, Gorgie, Craiglockhart, Dalry, Stenhouse, Shandon, Sighthill, Broomhouse

**Just ideas (feel free to change them!)**
After the council elections, we'll contact all our councillors in these two wards next week, to organise a date for a cycle into town. I guess it makes sense to try to emulate a normal 'commute' as far as possible (so from the ward into the town centre.

The route?
from ~Gorgie road to the Spokes Bike Breakfast? on 20th June (I think).
http://g.co/maps/ansnm (about 3.5 miles, could start further up Gorgie road to shorten route, if necessary).

All the other wards should do something similar and we'll all rendezvous at the bike breakfast! That'll give a bit of an incentive for the councillors (the potential for lots of good publicity with the cycle community, and so make them more likely to agree).

Need to think of a list of particular "points of interest" - i.e. particular local issues on the route that are of most concern (particular bits of parking on bike lanes, or whatever)

What do people think? Which route would you suggest? Should it be done separately for the two wards? Brain storm :)

size of ride: I don't know how many of us are in these wards: More would show the councillors how we feel!(ironically lots of us would allow a feeling of safety in numbers and I'd like the councillors to get a taste of solo riding in Edinburgh too :P).

Is centre pages of the version you have to pay money for and dispose of in recycle bin after having "read" it

I like this bit:

"When 3000 cyclists who turn out for a campaign for better road safety"

EEN counted?
