Cyclo-cross (with mudguards), hybrid or tourer styles are infinitely more suitable! This will have the effect of preventing nasty wind and rain from entering Edinburgh, providing a balmy Mediterranean spring climate enabling everyone to cycle or walk to work in shorts and t-shirts. Detailed cost benefit analysis I undertook whilst cycling in this morning encouragingly shows that the whole thing will be funded by an increase in tourism - the resulting increase in temperature of around 5 degrees being clearly the only thing that is needed to make Portobello Beach an international destination.<br /> The only drawback I can see at this stage is that the enclosed nature of the roof may create a few ventilation issues which will mean, unfortunately, that we'll have to ban anything causing high emissions. After eventually deciding to take the exit for the road down to the Scotsman (his course was somewhat wavering and uncertain) he then pulled into the middle (presumably to turn off onto the grass) and started braking. With the sole of his foot on the rear wheel. Would this be because he perceived it to be somehow cooler or because he genuinely had no working brakes?
