It isn't clear where its functions would be transferred to and whether any funding would follow.</p> <p>While this might not directly affect most of us on a day-to-day basis, it does not bode well for future investment in Scottish cycling. If the UK government is happy to abolish what is generally regarded as a fairly successful organisation at the first sniff of budget cuts then I imagine this is likely to be repeated in Scotland.</p> <p>Can I say I'm surprised...err, no. </p>
