Fred used to live in Edinburgh and ran the Going Places club, amongst others, before heading to London and setting up Airside and founding Lemon Jelly. It was quite interesting the challenge they faced of trying to get such a book with detailed iilustrations actually past the censors and onto the shop shelves. The beards were a deliberate addition to help with this.
