Yes, the pliers are amazing! I wish they would let you pick your own set of blades etc. to go with. ...oh. They may even do that now.

@unhurt. understand, but the blade on the leatherman is so much better. and the pliers! that's about all I ever use it for. agree it's heavy though. New ones seem lighter.

@Iwrats understandable

@SRD it's very underused because the wee Swiss Army weighs so much less and does 75% of the same stuff (and has a corkscrew...) - so the blade on mine is still pristine.

@unhurt you struck me as the sort of person who might :)

Mine's not as good at skinning/filletting fish since I snapped the tip off the blade, but still quite a good cutting edge.

Er. I forgot to bring the seat post home on Friday night because I was distracted by curry and wine and exhaustion. But if you need Third Reich technology back ASAP I can bring it along tomorrow? (As seat post collection attempt #2 might not happen till this Friday/Saturday.)

@SRD Hmm, I have a leatherman...

spytfyre on "broken air zound horn"

Good call, they say:
It's possible some dirt has lodged between the membrane and the resonator inside the horn. To (hopefully) fix this, try turning back cap (where AIR ZOUND is embossed) a 1/4" turn to the left, then a 1/4" turn back to the right. A wrench may be necessary. This should re-seat the membrane. Give it a try.
If it's still 'windy' try turning back cap to the left until it pops off. Then check to make sure membrane is flat & clean (ie no spiders!). Push & turn back cap all the way back on. Let us know if this works!

I think ( i could be wrong) there is a diaphram inside the round bit and that's what makes the zound.?? sounds to me like it's faulty or a hose has come undone inside...????

My horn stopped working recently, I am not sure how...
I haven't had an accident, I am sure I didn't over inflate it.
After it last ran down I tried filling it indoors when I got home and tested it the next morning outside I could hear the air scooshing out but not the usual satifying honk. It sounds as though the air schooshing noise is coming from the round bit with the AIR ZOUND ● AIR ZOUND under the button and above the horn shape
I put a pressure guage on it after the scooshing noise had finished and it read zero
I re-inflated it to 80psi and checked the volume adjuster but again got scooshing. Anyone has/had one and got any ideas what may have gone wrong before I throw it in the bin?

I have written to the company and am considering returning the broken one to ChainReactionCycles.com to see if they can replace it but have long since discarded the receipt (I don't like receipts)

PS you can tell when I have been away from the forum for a few days can't you? when the top half of the screen says me as the last poster
