(This IS Edinburgh.) Having filtered to the front using the approved cycle lane, and taking my place in the ASL box, on green I accelerated hard, because the taxi rank was full of taxis and I had a bunch of vehicles behind me. What made it more difficult was the big bus currently collecting passengers, immediately after the taxi rank.</p> <p>Fortunately, and rather pleasantly, the car driver behind me held back to allow me to move several feet to my right to pass the bus.
