I'm assuming the one you saw is on the road from Clackmannan to the Clackmannanshire bridge? </p> <p>Must admit the first time I saw it I did wonder what it meant. Presumably a 'friendly' road because it is (mostly) very quiet? Nearly all the motor traffic on the nearby A road instead. A bit of nonsense to announce what ought to be a common sense observation on the part of walkers and cyclists. One from the New Kincardine Bridge to Clackmanan, which is mostly very quiet apart from the odd local resident. A pilot by Perth &amp; Kinross Council to slow down traffic on quiet back roads.</p> <p>Interested to know whether the pilot is considered a success and whether the various Lothian councils could be persuaded to try something similar. </p>
