This caused an open fracture of my left femur, which by all accounts was pretty nasty. I've been in hospital since, and am up and walking with crutches. I have some mobility issues that I am working on with physio, and have lost some muscle as it died and required surgical removal as a result of the trauma. Police and ambulance in attendance. Bottom of Morningside Drive taped off - road shoes, helmet and cycling clothes (cut off by ambulance staff?) sitting in middle of the road. Grey Scott cyclo-cross type bike leant up at side of road. Cyclist off to hospital before I passed.</p> <p>Best wishes to the cyclist involved. </p>
