If it is hot or if I have overdressed (very common) I can be sweatier than I'd like to be by the time I've got from the railway station to the office, and I'm female so sweat less. A couple of colleagues who do the same thing prefer to change when they get to the office - and it really isn't a long ride. If you are a male who "runs hot" then it can't be very nice to sit in a sweaty shirt. Especially as we have a society where being even the tiniest bit smelly is frowned upon.</p> <p>Yes, of course we don't want to send the signal that you HAVE to wear all sorts of fancy kit to ride a bike.
