I've bought a few bits over the years, including MTB frames. Last time though they were absolutely shoddy. My frame was delayed (by months) despite them having already debited my account. Their follow-up was atrocious and I got all sort of excuses (always a different one) for the delay. I reckon I spoke to/emailed 6 or 7 different folk in the course of it all. They did lend me a frame while mine was awaiting delivery to the UK and when they eventually got my own one to me they'd changed the spec and it no longer had some of the features I needed. All that would have been bad enough but then one of the bosses decided to have a pop at me on the STW forum....

Late to the party, but I have built two bikes from Planet X / On-one frames and am happy with both. They are just what they seem, a deep discount clearance warehouse which also does some aggressively priced (perhaps loss-leading) own brand stuff.

I have also used them several times for components and clothing (merino base layers) their service has always been very quick and accurate. As K said "I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them" either.

My b/f has a Planet X frame and a pair of very bling Planet X deep section wheels. I'm not away of any problems with the ordering or performance of either. I think they have a generally good reputation.

I use them regularly as they seem to have constantly great deals on components. This does mean occasionally stock availability is a bit weird, as they appear to act more like a clearance warehouse rather than keep same stock in time, all the time.

Service is always quick. Bought my posh wheels off them as well as groupset parts. Their frames are always popular with self-builders. Planet-X frames quite respected in racing / TT.

Often worth a punt when looking for unusual or hard-to-source components (like weird BB / steerer sizes)

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

It was a while ago - while Brant was still on the end of the phone. It was more hardcore hardtails and jump bikes, than road bikes then. Although the Pompino and Kaffenback were around.

Always like 'em. No recent experience, though.

Only ever had good service when I've used them, and my brother bought a TT bike some time ago that was all perfectly smoothly dealt with, and obviously my Kaff came from them (though was a present from da family so I didn't order it myself) (considering getting an On-One Macinato frame and certainly have no concerns ordering from them).

Good or bad. Lets hear it? I have been asked about them by a mate who is looking to get a Carbon bike from them. He is looking at the RT-75 I have never used them before.

I was signed up to their emails which came in (nearly) daily with stocking deels on wheels worth thousands!! Like I'll ever buy wheels worth thousands....
