<description>&#60;p&#62;As I am rerouted from my usual commute thanks to a ridiculous multiplicity of road works/closures/towpath closures etc., I am really noticing the utterly appalling state of the roads in SW Edinburgh. Trying to navigate safe passage and find a reasonable road surface in the dark is a ruddy nightmare. I was complaining to a friend who commented that when she recently completed a LEJOG, Edinburgh was hands down the WORST place they cycled in the entire UK for road surfaces. Come back towpath, all is forgiven. Unless of course they've churned that up too.
