Can anyone advise on whom to contact in the council to email about the dangerous state of the road at the Kings Theatre junction please?

I've had 3 punctures (including todays) from the terrible road surface, including the exposed drain cover edge which I hit this morning and gave me a flat.

I've previously Fixmyroaded and Clarenced this area before but our illustrious CEC have done nothing and it's getting downright deadly.

Take care if riding on the B9080 Westbound. There's a fairly nasty hole where a manhole cover should be, approx 1 k east of Kirkliston. Have reported and hopefully it'll be seen as a priority.

ETA: I swear I looked to see if anyone had already posted this - but somehow my eyes slipped right over the word Manchester, right there in recent topics. I shall slink away in shame now...

in Manchester. By
highlighting them with inappropriate graffiti. A novel approach!

According to the Manchester Evening News story,

The mystery crusader - a professional artist and surveyor - is highlighting craters in the Tarmac by drawing a (ahem) huge male appendage around them.
[...]
The mystery campaigner, whose works are all completed in non-permanent paint, told the M.E.N: “The roads of Manchester are in an appalling state, especially around Bury. I have cyclist friends who have been hospitalised."

Don't think even Edinburgh can match this.

Just a heads up that Lichfield Council have put together a service called Fix My Tweet that makes it super easy to report things like Potholes to Fixmystreet.com

In my opinion, it's certainly better than the official iPhone app - but it'll also work on non-apple smart phones too. Greener Leith blog post on it here:

http://www.greenerleith.org/greener-leith-news/2010/3/9/fix-my-tweet.html

Would be interested to hear if any others use it, and what you think of it.

Just lately, it seemd CEC has decided to patch up some of the slightlier busier roads in the capital.
Some work has been done on the eastbound bus lane on Corstorphine Rd, which was lovely and smooth until they put back the coloured surfacing - why are the old lanes so smooth and the new ones so bumpy?

And on Calder Road there seems to have been some extensive "patching" work, but has anyone noticed that in a few areas the "repairs" seem in some way to have maintained the presence of the holes they were supposed to cover?

Need I mention the lack of a reinstatement of the cycle lane on the soon-to-be-opened (maybe) section of Princes St?

Anyone else noticed some dodgy repairs where the council thinks no one will notice?
