It might sink in at the council that if pinchpoints like that 40m stretch in particular are dealt with then it opens up all the investment in the rest of the path (which is very good, with exception of crossing at Seafield Street) and will get many more people using it.</p> <p>Also, putting signs up suggesting you use a path, in the middle of the path itself, seem wasted effort. You aren't going to be able to read them from a car. I assume council found it more amusing or just plain easier to create a series of gaudy pink banners, rather than trying to do anything about the narrowed path across the bridge here or the surface between the bridge and the esplanace. </p>
