A couple of weeks back my old hybrid commuter bike came to an end. The frame gave way after six years of faithful service. The result is that I have most of the rest of the bike which I'd like to recycle. My new bike has disk breaks rather than caliper breaks so the wheels are no good to me anymore. The chain may have some life as could the chain set and there are other parts.

So what are my options for recycling?

I know there's the Bike Station as well as the council run recycling option (they even say they'll pick it up).

Any recommendations and who will put the bike to best use?
