I ordered a Dutch bike online last Christmas, so didn't have a chance to test drive it, and after riding it for nearly a year I realise I probably wouldn't have bought this particular model if I had given it a test ride, for a variety of reasons I won't go into here.</p> <p>Anyway, I think with a bit more research I might have found something closer to home, but am interested in the opinions of others here. Are there retail outlets in Edinburgh and environs for an affordable (£300-£400) everyday bicycle? </p>
