I always cycle on it from crossing to avoid zig zag and planter blockade at ModaCity. Then turn up Drysdale. Traffic is held at crossing lights while doing this so well clear by time I turn left. No signage at crossing to prohibit this but obviously signage to ban bikes going along WAR back of Cineworld as some couriers do! Obviously that is handy for Haymarket link via Dalry Place but completing a segregated bike lane to Lothian Road is relatively easy I would think.
