There's been a large amount of machinery and manpower there 24x7 for quite a few weeks, with the whole road width completely closed. It's almost impossible to avoid potholes, and going through them on a bakfiets makes the most awful sound like it's going to fall apart. </p> <p>Apparently Whitehouse Loan was assessed in 2012 and passed over for repair for the next three years! A stretch further along on the same road was closed a year ago or so also for resurfacing. Now it's nice to have a nice smooth road but, it wasn't <em>that</em> bad before and this is not that busy a road.</p> <p>Compared to some of the surfaces around Holy Corner where I was driving last weekend, it was billiard-table like.
