Not when I passed you at that bad junction at St Mary street and said morning morningsider, except I used your real name to avoid the double morning.

I thought Friday's torrential rain would have dispatched my Naw badge which is stuck on my helmet and won't come off. Perhaps it is waiting for the diehards to bring in their saltires before the winter to stop them getting tatty

Insto - since the referendum, to avoid embarrassment, I have been dressing as the Monopoly man for work and as a morris dancer the rest of the time. I am confident that this makes me safe from any Scottish related ridicule.

Funnily enough, both Yes and Better Together adopted .scot subdomains...

And the Smith Commission is using a .scot address.

According to ICANN, '.bike' was, apparently, delegated to the root in November 2013 (meaning you can buy .bike subdomains).

But .scot is more than just the geographical Scotland.

It's also pitched at the worldwide Scottish diaspora (think Burns Societies in St Petersburg, clan associations in Australia and highland games in Canada).

.berlin apparently has a strong focus on SMEs and microbusinesses. .bzh (obviously the subdomain of the Bretons) is being pitched strongly at culture and tourism. .club is not surprisingly selling like the proverbial hot cakes.

I'm surprised no-one thought of launching .cycle or .pedal

We're all citizens of the internet, man. It's all about communities of interest, avatars and adopted identities, bro. National boundaries are meaningless in cyberspace, dude. Except when they're not.

Well if it's good enough for Lord Smith of Kelvin.
http://www.smith-commission.scot/

Of course http://www.laid-back-bikes.co.uk will work as well and simply re-directs people to
http://www.laid-back-bikes.scot

We will probably use the new URL in print as the .co.uk isn't appropriate as it makes our partnership* look like a company ;-)

* Irene and I hence the 'we' in title. Not a royal affectation!

What does the panel think. Any other bike shops going to use a geo tag like this?
