My pride and joy was stolen from my stairwell on Monday afternoon. It was locked to the bannister.

I'm utterly heartbroken as I'm about to start a university degree and can't afford a replacement. Currently trying to find the proof of purchase on the D Lock because I think it was guaranteed, but I bought it years ago.

I know it's generally hopeless, but if anyone sees it up for sale or ditched on the side of a road somewhere I'd hugely appreciate a heads up. I've posted a £50 reward on stolenbikes https://stolen-bikes.co.uk/stolen-bikes/cannondale-caad-x-105-sram-rival-cyclocross/

My lovely new(ish) bike got stolen on Thursday from our back yard at work. A silver ladies ridgeback speed in case anyone happens across it. Anyway, I am gutted and can't claim on insurance as, even though it was in a secure courtyard, it wasn't secured to an "immovable object".

I have borrowed an old rusty bike with 6 gears, which will do me at the moment, but I don't particularly enjoy riding it. I'm tempted just to go out a buy a new one, but think that might be a bit rash. Has anyone been in a similar position? How likely is it it will be recovered? I have given police the frame number etc and am constantly refreshing gumtree but not holding out much hope :-(

Some [reprobates] have broken into the bike lockup at Saltersgate School in Dalkeith. They have had four Pashley Robin trikes stolen. Three red, one blue. Used to allow disabled kids the simple pleasure of riding a bike.

Hi all, it seems like a very common occurrence at the moment, but I've had three bikes stolen over the weekend. One was an ancient Land Rover bike (Brown) worth about £50 The second a Carerra Vulcan Ladies spec mountain bike. but they also took my pride and joy, a 2011 Scott Scale 20 Mountain Bike.

Taken from Liberton area, locked in a secure shed. It's quite a distinctive bike there won't be many of them about, and it also has my name (Ed Vickers) on the top tube (which I expect will be ground off or stickered over.) Please keep an eye open for me, although I'm not holding out much hope.

Here's the Scott

And the Flyer I've sent to most Edinburgh Bike Shops

And a picture of the Carrera

Thanks for looking!
Ed

Hi Guys,
My son's bike was stolen last night from the common stairwell where it was locked to the railings. He has had it for less than 2 months.
If anyone spots a new looking Claud Butler explorer 100 in black with bar ends (gents large frame, can you post on here or pm me?

Thanks,

See how badly sprayed it is... they even sprayed on the red light...
this was on Gloucster St which is pretty steep and dangerous but I haven't heard of a cyclist being killed there for this to be a "ghost" bike which makes me think it must be stolen...
I haven't been back past that way to see it again as I tend to take a longer route home now
