The towpath was quiet in both directions and I more or less dodged the rain too so it was a lovely afternoon's ride. The Edinburgh Park tram stop certainly is a bit odd, there's already a big muddy wound in their grass where everyone cycles up/down beside their steps, but there was nobody there so no real obstruction.</p> <p>I was on the bike and HWMBO was in the car; I glided along peacefully while he was getting stuck in multiple roadworks. Last time I went that way you could get fairly easily from the canal at Cultins Road down the hill past the car dealerships, under the railway line, through Edinburgh Park and into the Gyle car park.
