Bit odd too that so much traffic is using Meadow Lane when it could instead use Buccleuch Place, which is far bigger.</p> <p>I'll just warn folks again that a temporary one way system suddenly appeared this week, and lots of drivers are totally ignoring it. Avoid.</p> <p>Oh, also, high walls have gone up along the pavements, preventing people from crossing the roads, except at the busy junctions. They've moved it to the lobby of JCMB (James Clerk Maxwell Building, the big brick ship-looking building)</p> <p>2. Bike security marking is currently taking 3-4 minutes per bike, said an official-looking man, and when I was there a few minutes ago there was already a queue of 10 bikes and lots more arriving all the time. I haven't seen the plans, just the article, but judging by the picture it looks as if Bristo Square is also going to be rebuilt, at least partially.</p> <p>A good opportunity to get a cycle path round/through the square, perhaps? </p>
