It's funny to see the odd complaint about commercial vehicles. I never park over less than two spaces in the mwb transit - if you get boxed in it is a nuisance to get out and there's a massive risk of damaging others' vehicles. Just not worth it and every car park has a dead zone that is 'too far' for everyone else to walk from.

I should invite folk around to park in the back yard - you can put 3 cars in it within the width of 7.1 metres, through a 3.0 metre wide gateway off a 3-4 metre wide back lane, and still drive each one out with the others remaining in place. Now the LWB transit vans can be a bit trickier....

"Parallel parking" was included in my test, but you only had to park behind a single existing parked car. I.e. you were given an unrealistic amount of space, so a bit pointless.

A few times (but only a few, I can park *polishes halo*) I've got out the car and realised I'm a wee bit squint and unlocked, restarted, and shuffled the car
I do that every time I park (except when I've parked across 4 parking spaces in an empty car park, of course). I hate parking.

(This may be a slight exaggeration... I can nearly parallel park, these days (it wasn't part of the test when I passed)).

Sigh, I had to leave a comment on the comment by someone that the site breached the Data Protection Act (it doesn't, it's not processing sensitive personal information); the Human Rights Act (erm.... Really?); and 'various other laws' (which are of course unspecified as I suspect this is a made up continuation.

I really can't stand bad parking (my dad is one for parking over two spaces so another car won't park too close and possibly have the occupant open a door onto his - if I'm that concerned I park further away where there are less cars) - A few times (but only a few, I can park *polishes halo*) I've got out the car and realised I'm a wee bit squint and unlocked, restarted, and shuffled the car.

if you picture a car park with grids of spaces, it is easy to occupy 3 or 4 by parking across the + where they all meet (or so it appears from the pictures on the site)

Isn't this the same website that was published in the EEN a few months ago? Maybe they are getting a bit forgetful.

I am trying to figure out how anyone could park across THREE spaces.

EEN article:Bad Edinburgh parking shamed on website

It's mainly interesting because it continually refers to 'road users, pedestrians and cyclists' as if somehow cyclists aren't road users.

DON'T READ THE COMMENTS! The first one manages to complain about cycling on the pavement in an article that's about people parking in stupid places.
