It would likely be the PCC for newspapers & magazines. Certainly for the PCC, they have a section of their rules (culled from Wikipedia): "16 Payment to criminals * i) Payment or offers of payment for stories, pictures or information, which seek to exploit a particular crime or to glorify or glamorise crime in general, must not be made directly or via agents to convicted or confessed criminals or to their associates – who may include family, friends and colleagues" The asterisk goes on to explain exceptions which may be allowed. She's been found guilty so presumably qualifies as a "criminal"? Whether bad enough a criminal to count under the PCC's rules, who knows. I thought the second was naturally running from the first, as in I thought it was against the law to profit from crime and yet she's been paid her expesnes. "This appear to be her being paid to tell her side of the story??" Depends on the details of that deal. I suspect money 'has' changed hands, but in such a way that it's not direct to her, or even to her at all (maybe the tv company paid her legal expenses), but still benefits her without her actually 'profiting'. People went back through her (public) timeline and extracted them for future posterity. She really did take a photo of her own speedo at 95mph... Sigh. Her tv deal, to be profiting from the crime, would have to be specifically about her crime and entirely based around the case in question. Which I doubt would make for a particularly long television career, so it's likely on something entirely different (even having her as a Top Gear presenter would be separate from the crime).
