We wound up chatting all the way through the Meadows, slightly overlapping, but still both in the cycle lane, heading past the queueing cars, and generally having a very relaxed and welcome chinwag.</p> <p>You can obviously do this walking if you happen upon someone you know, but in a car you are just completely shut off from the outside world. See a friend and the best you can manage is a little flash of the lights, or a toot of the horn. It was so nice pootling in (well, Alex was pootling...) like this.</p> <p>No real point to this, just another example of how mcuh more friendly cycling is. </p>
