Two more thoughts:<br /> It's going to make MMW even more difficult to cycle up/down during the festival than it was last year (when the cycle path always seemed to have dozens of tourists wandering around on it).<br /> Also, on your general point about the Edinburgh approach: I remember in previous years large toilet caravans being set up on the grass right next to MMW for big events in the Meadows, so that all the needy users queueing for the loos would have to stand right on the cycle path. Thoughtless. The biggest issue may come in busy period where it's not just a case of pedestrians crossing, but queueing and completely blocking the cyclepath side. A whole lot more than the 40 people per hour manage to cross the cycle path without incident just a few yards down the path at George Sq Lane.
