They described the offending white van in a manner that made me think it had perhaps failed to stop.</p> <p>Don't see anything on the Beeb this morning, might appear on Hootsmon website later.</p> <p>EDIT - a short article on STV <a href="http://news.stv.tv/scotland/228003-boy-hit-by-van-while-riding-bike-on-b6363-pencaitland-east-lothian/">here</a>. Still not clear if it was a hit and run, it doesn't say it was, but it's reported as if Police are trying to trace the vehicle. Child at the Sick Kids with "serious injuries" </p>
