If the threads are damaged so an M5 screw gets jammed, then running a tap through is a good way to fix it.</p> <p>Have you tried putting an M5 screw (e.g. one from your water bottle bosses) into the hole? The standard hex bolt or allen bolt?? ;o) goes in butwon't tighten and instead just spins as it nips up. This is the cassette side so I can't just pop on an M5 bolt and Aircraft nut as it interferes with the chain when its on the smallest cassette cog.</p> <p>What is the standard size for these please?
