I've got the immaculate frame and forks of a Mercian under my bed, I've been meaning to build it up, but if I get components at about the same level as the frame (531) it would cost me over a grand to build up a bike that would overlap on bikes I've already got, hence the Mercian has been gathering dust for 18months since I was given it.</p> <p>Best of luck to you though - the only time I have successfully* managed the Bealach na Ba I did it at about 10pm on a mountain bike with Spec Armadillos on - 50mm semi slicks. Being a tart, and looking for new hubs and rims to build wheels for the X to tackle the Bealach, these would look fab! </p>
