That looks like a massive hill :)</p> <p>The route I took - the bit south from Pitlochry is actually quite nice avoiding the A9 and the only A9 bit was the Dunkeld 1km section - I'd highly recommend the bit Pitlochry to Logierait and even the B road that takes you to the Dunkeld section. After Dunkeld the roads went to Bankfoot were OK and even South of that (Until I nearly got taken out by a Peleton at Almondbank!) </p> <p>Perth to Glenfarg via some of the Kinross Sportive route was a bit mental though I've heard Dunning Hill would have been better, I went over via Rossie Ochil - THAT Was a suffer fest of a climb! many false summits! </p> http://citycyclingedinburgh.info/bbpress/topic.php?id=10656#post-117437 Tue, 09 Jul 2013 12:50:55 +0000 DaveC 117437@http://citycyclingedinburgh.info/bbpress/ <p>You can cycle from Pitlochry to Blairgowrie and then south through Perth, and finally up Glen Farg and south through Milntorpe and Kinross.</p> <p>Alternatively you can cycle to Tummel Bridge and then south to Aberfeldy and then onto Crieff and then through Auchterarder and then Dunfermline. I think my average speed was the highest it was. Seen lots of people on recently, and also, check for the Beaully (!) to Denny works which seem to have a habit of parking big trucks, diggers and even helicopters across the cycle tracks ! I was on 28s (Marathon Plus) and my mate was on what looked like 32s. You shouldn't have any problems. Have seen quite a few riding road bikes on this stretch without difficulty.
