I threw up my arm at him, but did not gesticulate. He then stopped his vehicle and stopped. I was stopped at a pedestrian crossing, and clipped in!</p> <p> He came right up to me shouting, swearing and behaving in a highly threatening manner. Fortunately, a small crowd were gathering, attracted by his noise. He accused me of holding him up, and wasn't listening when I tried to explain that he needed to give cyclists more room. The presence of the crowd seemed to deter him from carrying out his threatened violence, and he drove off.</p> <p> Some of the crowd kindly volunteered their names as witnesses and I reported the incident. </p> <p> The Police were very helpful, and kept me informed of developments. And yesterday, I received a message that he'd been charged successfully with breach of the peace.</p> <p> Hopefully, he'll show more regard to vulnerable road users in future.</p> <p>Cheers<br /> Colin </p>
