Could also possibly have been spurred by a comment already made by a witness.</p> <p>Ask Wilmington's Cow - he'll tell you that drivers in Aberdeenshire typically don't drive like they expect any exceptions on the road right around the very next corner (e.g. non-motorised traffic, potholes, broken down vehicles, an accident etc). Sightline on southbound carriageway obscured by trees and a cottage, also the B road does not go straight across but is offset, requiring a short distance to be ridden on the A road. Difficult to cross safely coming from Collieston. </p> <p>The Volvo XC90 <a href="http://www.volvocars.com/uk/all-cars/volvo-xc90/Pages/default.aspx">marketing spiel</a> says "Safety for you. And everyone else." Depends on the driver, I suppose.</p> <p>Report states the boy was in a party of half a dozen cyclists. LCC produced simple bike 'number plates' with #space4cycling on them. They were for the flash ride, but people are riding round with them ordinarily as well.
