@baldcyclist Pregnancy also aggravates it, but I guess you don't need to worry about that :)

Doctor told me to take ibuprofen - reduces the inflammation.

Handlebars that let you move your hands around (drops, touring bars, bullhorns) also help if it's cycling related. As does a more upright position

Ahh, is that what causes that, thank goodness, often wondered if it was my heart (left hand worse for me)!

Of course my solution, rather than go to doctor, cycle more, it'll go away, well the high blood pressure did!

Hypercondria laid to rest for another day.

Now you mention it, it happened to me two or three times while I was cycling in France a couple of weeks ago in 28 degree heat. First time in ages - thought I'd sorted it once I'd got some decent padded gloves.

Anyone else finding the heat and humidity making carpal tunnel/numb hands worse than usual?

Any suggestions for improvement?

I've had this for years - since kayaking/weightlifting in my teens, so not cycling specific and not much hope for improvement, but I know it is common among cyclists.
