I think it may be significant in describing the nature of the incident. </p> <p>More irked by the misleading use of "accident" of course but also "collision with". The cyclist is always listed first. They collide with a 60mph passing vehicle? Or the vehicle collides with them? It's a linguistic contortion akin to "Died after collision with a bullet". Unless major enhancements that 2 lane carriageway is only for a very small part of the A roads featured. I was on the bike for 10 hours riding a pretty big distance. I thought lots about whether I should be scared or not. I decided that I needed to have a positive mental attitude and trust that there are good drivers out there, but that I need to protect myself and make sure I'm riding the safest I could. So even after 10 hours on the bike lots of shoulder checks and keeping my eyes on the road. These incidents are horrible but don't let it stop you cycling. We need more cyclists on the road, not fewer.
