And another local news story starring an interesting bike.

http://www.thetelegram.com/News/Local/2013-08-03/article-3337687/Blind-cyclist-starts-tandem-bike-ride-in-St.-John%26rsquos/1

This time, NOT a ride I aspire to do. The TCH is not a pleasant cycle. We've seen a few bikes on it in recent days - mostly while we've been kayaking - but the shoulder is narrow and full of grit, the traffic is fast (100 kph), and the number of massive lorries, constructin vehicles etc is astounding - an incredibly high proportion of the traffic is heavy goods bigger than the sort we see on motorways,. Booming resource based economy makes for unpleasant roads, I guess.

But at least these guys really are doing the full ride from Mile One!

(and in case anyone is wondering yes, there is a tiger watching my bike and flat)
