actually on topic: I've been accessing Harrison Park via Watson Crescent to avoid this.

/thread hijack "you have to access the Roseburn path by the shared use pavement rather than the drop kerb at the bottom of the path, which I prefer."

I've always found the drop kerb awkward, but agree that normally accessing shared pavement's not ideal either (only ever used it to exit, not to enter NEPN).

Anyway to improve it? Or shall we just wait and see what they propose as part of the ATAP? \thread hijack

Came through this morning and both sets seemed to be stuck on red - not sure if this was caused by the southbound stream of cars being stuck in the system. Had to sort of push my way through. Russell Rd ones were up and running too, which means you have to access the Roseburn path by the shared use pavement rather than the drop kerb at the bottom of the path, which I prefer.

This looks like it has the potential to become a bit of a traffic snarl up if too many southbound cars go through the temporary lights.

Temporary lights going up this morning on Russell Road too.

Came through this morning. It's not too bad if you want to go left, as there's only a short stretch of pavement to negotiate before you hit the end of the works. Going right might be easier to wait for the tail end of the next stream heading uphill (or come off one junction earlier)

Heading to Fountainpark by the canal last night. By the time I get to the Harrison Park stretch it's become quite busy so I thought I'd bypass the dodgy bridge under Harrison road and instead head onto Harrison road by the ramp/path at the left. Simple enough but there's roadworks there and it's down to a single lane with lights. Now, guess where the path from HP spits you out? That's right, straight into the middle of the single lane with the lights equidistant to each side. Whichever way you go you'll likely end up facing a bunch of traffic quite rightly wanting to go the other way from the lights. So, it's either a dismount and pavement routine or you'll have to take a chance.

I think they should have had a barricade or the like at the road edge of the pavement at the ramp exit so you can't just head straight on and onto the road without stopping. I mean I stop there anywhere but I could see it catching people out.
