I believe the rivet needs a power tool for the particular job, but it is sorted woth the bolt. I Do need a riveter for daughter's zatchel but I have a source for that. I had popped rivet from usual over stuffing. On advice of forum I attempted to put a rivet in. Alas struggled to get it through outside plastic, nylon inside plastic, inside material. In factory in china this will have been done by a machine? After several attempts I managed to jam the rivet in the bag in a sticky out way. I then had to hacksaw this off.munfortunately, when hacksawing this off I managed to cut into the outside plastic. Happily, the alternate forum suggestion of nuts and bolts now in place and holding up well. </p>
