Fortunately it was a disc braked bike! </p> <p>(The secret seemed to be to have the zip tie just tight enough that it 'cut' into the inflated tyre a little, so it was barely touching the road whilst riding along. Finally blew completely but managed to get within walking distance of the train to get across the bridge.</p> <p>EDIT: My brain just engaged!?! Getting the tyre off to put some card in, might as well change the tyre.
