I suffered a similar unprovoked contact lens ejection a few weeks ago. Luckily it happened just as I was outside my flat faffing about with my bike computer before heading off on a 40 mile ride, so I was able to get another one... No idea why it happened.

as a dedicated speccy 4 eyes i suffer from similar events.

In the alps last year i enjoyed a lens falling out with a 500ft drop to my right and nowhere to put a foot down. I learned a new form of vision i like to call 'awesomeskills'.

Grit, rain, crap... all flings into the eyes off road PLUS the added fun of cloudy fogged specs when lenses are worn is fun too.

Anyway. Stay safe!

A couple of hundred yards after I left the office, I felt my right contact lens shift. I blinked and felt it fall onto my cheek and blow away. Cycling home with one working eye was scary.
