The eyepiece is the 15x45 variable. No tripod. Well, I have a tripod that fits it, but I still use it for my camera.

I might as well sell my spotting scope.

http://www.vikingopticalcentres.co.uk/telescopes/spotting-scopes/rspb-ag60-scope-package

I'll check it when I get home to make sure it's in good nick. Certainly ought to be, given how little it's been used. I'd be after £70 or so assuming it is.

I got some good lightweight bins for walking and cycling from Ebay (used). Cost me <£20. I think that they are Olympus PC 8 x 25. For birdwatching, with small bins there is probably not much point in magnification > 8 x

Love the RSPB shop and the bird guy is really nice.

I have never heaved my mega-bins about hillwalking since buying my monocular. I'll have to get the details when I get home but it only cost £50, is very light, very pocketable, very magnifiable and excellent quality.

I bought these a few years ago, take them out on the bike and on the hills, waterproof, rubberised, not too bulky.

I know we have several twitchers on here, so thought I'd ask: Can anyone recommend reasonable compact binoculars for under £100?

I'm looking for something I can use when out hill walking, so fairly light and/or pocketable. I'm not a serious nature watcher or anything, so not looking for professional quality.
