I took a chance on my ride to the Gyle today, and the water nearly drowned my feet as I carefully made my way through the underpass on the Brompton.</p> <p>On my return journey, I opted to take my bike through the overbridge of the railway station, as did the cyclist behind me. For what it's worth, I've reported it to Clarence. The solution is not yet finalised.</p> <p>It seems that the recent/current tram work might have contributed to the problem as it has taken away some of the area where water used to lie until it soaked away or evaporated.</p> <p>In the short term, pumping is likely to be required.</p> <p><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/duncansmith/4831195827/#comment72157624595054014">Duncan says on Flickr</a> "according to cyclist colleagues who could use this route, is that you can't rely on it being clear, so they avoid it."</p> <p>At least cyclists can use the lifts in the station, but... </p>
