There's a great write-up of LEL by Phil Whitehurst. He suffers all kinds of problems - mechanicals, stomach upsets, exhaustion, injury - so when the sun comes out and he says heat is his Achilles heel I had to laugh. Thinking of going for the Etape Caledonia next year, maybe a 200km Audax too.
