These include Park &amp; Ride facilities at Ferrytoll and Halbeath and various rail interchange car parks. The Council is incurring considerable expenditure in managing and maintaining these ‘free’ car parks. Why do you think they haven't introduced charging for the train stations, like Dalgety Bay and Inverkeithing? Its council land, not Network Rail btw.</p> <p>If it gets passed this year, I'll pay a week of parking for you. Council is skint, needs to cut services or introduce charging for others. I spoke to my local councillor who says the council majority, in power, do not want to introduce charges and it won't get past the funding vote, which incidentally has not taken place yet.</p> <p>You'll notice this is just <strong>one</strong> proposal of many in a report (whose author(s), the paper convinently don't publish).
