3 of them.....
my work bike shed is heavily populated by bikes that are riden by our drivers, strangely, they seem more prevelant in the winter rather than the summer ! which is when I also tend to bike more often ! still isuppose the grangemouth area is fairly flat, but just awe bit out and its not called the braes for nowt !
+1 for actually complimenting, as mentioned on another post, I was commended , it took a call to the number on the trailer and I did get the converstation with my manager, it does work !
10;10 good buddies !

This Keyline?

"

We want you to rate us "Best in town".

If your experience of Keyline is above or below your expectations, we'd very much like to hear from you.

http://www.keyline.co.uk/Contact-Us

Worth complimenting and finding out if they do special 'bike aware' training or attract/employ particularly good drivers.

There is one branch in Edinburgh and a few within 30 miles, but these may have been delivering from 'main depot' - wherever that is.

Was thinking more two Keyline drivers out there. But yes, much as with most car drivers and most cyclists, most truck drivers are absolutely fine, and some, like this guy this morning, are superb.

I wonder if it's the same bald trucklist that hollered at me in praise of my Smart 1/2 watt rear light many moons ago. Did he sound like he was from that there London, then?

In the pantheon of 'things you never thought you would say'.

Stopped alongside a Keyline truck this morning after some lights have not long turned red, there's a shout to get my attention. The driver wants to know if that's 'one of those cameras' on my bike. Fearing a backlash of EEN commenter proportions I fall back on the defensive truth, "Yeah, I got one for mountain biking originally, then just thought, sod it, I'll put it on this bike."

"That's great," was the unexpected response. He goes on to explain that it's terrible that people feel they have to do that, but they do; explains he's a cyclist himself and had been thinking about getting one; and declares that everyone should just have more respect for each other on the roads, and anyone who complains about cyclists should be made to cycle for a week.

He also pointed out an unexpected benefit of baldness - I'd mentioned that the camera on the side of the helmet, rather than the bike, tended to drag the helmet over to one side. He said that being bald meant the helmet generally just stuck to his head.

The lights turned green, we bade each other a good day, and (linked to the rubbish cycling thread) he had a good check of his potential blind spots before moving off, giving loads of room to a cyclist who had filtered up his left.
