Good news thanks guys, good deals indeed in the mountain lite sale though sizing is predictably unhelpful! :-)

They look very similar to the Berghaus trousers my boyfriend and I have (one pair each, his'n'hers). We walk up hills in them and they do the job.

My previous pair of waterproof trousers, also Berghaus, were not so good, because the opening at the bottom wasn't big enough to get over a pair of size 6 walking boots without a huge struggle. Not very useful. Just something to look out for - but the Deluge looks like it opens all the way up the leg so you will be fine.

I expect they will be fine. I bought a pair of whatever was in the shop donkeys years ago, immediately fell down and tore them but they have still lasted all this time with occasional bits of tape. So long as they will keep her dry that is the main thing I think?

Mind you I could be about to find out about a whole world of wondrous waterproof trouser technology I never knew about. :-)

Slightly OT, however I'm intending buying Mrs S a new pair of waterproof trousers, I'm looking at Berghaus Deluge, but would welcome any suggestions of better options!
They wouldn't be for cycling (hence OT) but for general camping and Guide type activities.
Cheers all :-)
