@gibbo

I have a choice on my daily commute heading east. I could go down ardmillan to Haymarket and then along to princes street. Or I can go straight on along to fountain pk and in along the cowgate.

I opt for the latter.

If I have to go near princes street I go along George st then cut down from St. Andrews sq as it is easier to cross tram lines there.

Whilst I agree that cyclists should be allowed to use any suitable road, I would say using roads north or south of princes street makes sense and that commuters should consider these detours to their routes as viable options.

I got three comments in, these people really are mindless idiots who I hope are proud of the bile they're able to summon up for their fellow man. And I hope they never make a mistake, or require any sympathy from anyone.

to eens usual hateful reaction

I guess some people have nothing going on in their lives, so they fill up time by posting hateful things online. ("See ya, wouldn't want to be ya".)

I no longer cycle eastwards on Princes St. It's just too dangerous, IMO.

But I have the luxury of picking and choosing my bike rides. Commuters don't always have the same luxury.

Looks like the first tramline fall that has required an ambulance and road closure - to eens usual hateful reaction.

All depressingly predictable.m
