"

7.30 pm Wednesday 22nd January 2014.
Methodist Church Hall, Nicolson Square Edinburgh EH8 9BX

Richard Dixon, Director, Friends of the Earth Scotland

Jo O’Neill, Policy Officer, SCIAF

- reporting from the Warsaw summit, looking ahead to Lima and Paris

The UN climate change talks in Warsaw in December were disappointing to say the least, giving the clear impression that most governments are not taking climate change seriously enough. But they are the only show in town if we are to get the binding treaty we need at the 2015 talks in Paris. On the positive side the united walk-out by civil society organisations showed the determination we need to build enough popular pressure by then. Come and hear about what happened in Warsaw and about we can do in Edinburgh, in Scotland and internationally to make Paris a success.

All welcome.
