I filled in a more useful survey for British Cycling a couple of days ago. IIRC, it offered 10 different concerns about cycling in your area and asked you to select three; you could add an "other" as well. Then you did similar for what changes could be made locally to improve cycling. They may be doing it to add some weight behind their "cycle proofing" thing (the first option on the list, although I don't think I ticked that) but possible to tick "20mph limits", "fewer HGVs", "segregated infra" etc.

Would be a particular sham if it's used to say "Scottish cyclists want X,Y and Z sort of training", without actually asking them what they really want.

It's exactly the sort of hands-over-the-eyes, fingers-in-the-ears, "la-la-la-la-la-la-la" approach I'd expect CS to take though.

I completed this survey, with doubts as to whether I should bother. It's not very competently set up. A key question is to rate the relative importance of various subjects that might be taught within cycle training - one of the options is "cyclist awareness"; that presumably means teaching cyclists awareness (of what?) or does it mean teaching non-cyclists awareness of cyclists? There were other poorly worded questions, which I can't remember now - and no way provided to raise questions of this sort or seek clarification. Like many hastily thrown-together surveys, its results will be essentially meaningless.

A survey about the need for adult cycle training:

No mention of the need for proper & safe cycling infrastructure. No mention of the need to educate motorists/HGVs
