But I eventually gave up due to the abundance of broken glass, and there is a kerb (albeit small) at the Westfield Av end. /And/ a blind corner halfway along.<br /> It was quicker in the end to go by road - at first I did Westfield Road and Stevenson Road, but then I changed to using Gorgie Road; a bit further but faster overall, mainly due to the traffic lights.</p> <p>Russell Road was orginally meant to close in 2008 (for tram works) but the date kept getting pushed back. It still hasn't closed almost two years later.
